Total Specific Solutions (“TSS”) has acquired the German software company INTEND Geoinformatik (“INTEND”), which provides Geographic Information Systems (GIS) solutions for the forestry and timber sector. Intend is the second acquisition this year in the DACH region.
The company offers a comprehensive range of software solutions to enhance orientation, communication, and process management within the forestry and timber industry. The Forest Information Plan, a versatile digital solution for desktops and mobile devices, supports private and municipal forests and timber transportation with efficient forest inventory management, wood collection tracking, and wildlife data monitoring, enabling streamlined operations and improved decision-making. The Webline GIS solution is developed specifically for large-scale forestry operations, including state and national forests.
The company has also voluntarily created the renowned "Hilfe im Wald" mobile rescue app. This application enables rapid identification of the nearest rescue meeting point, ensuring that emergency services, such as fire departments, police, and medical teams, are dispatched quickly and accurately to the correct location.
