About the role

We are looking for a skilled Mid-Senior Business Controller for our 1st Lithuanian company that will join the TSS/Sygnity group located in Vilnius and will be part of the TSS/Sygnity Finance team. You can work partly from our office located in Vilnius or partly from home (hybrid). You will report to the TSS Manager of Finance & Control while also working closely with the entire CEE region Finance Team.

You will be responsible for implementing and managing Financial and Business Controlling group frames to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the company’s financial reporting and internal controls required to report to the Stock Exchange (Toronto and Warsaw). In this role, you are a sparring partner for the management team of the company in managing operations, through means of financial and business analysis. You think along and challenge the management team to improve the performance of the business together after defining the strategic focus of the company (cost control, pricing, project performance, product split, etc.). You will have the chance to develop your management and leadership skills and grow as the local Finance lead managing a local team and other TSS requirements.

You will establish yourself independently, and you are willing to build, manage, and develop your local finance team and establish a cooperation framework with management while providing high-quality service.

How do we do this

In the first year, you will have financial and business control responsibilities, and you will be coached by your Manager Finance & Control and international peers. You will coordinate local financial administration and be responsible for monthly IFRS group reporting to TSS and Sygnity groups for the Stock Exchange, working closely with the local accounting team. Next, you will have the possibility to develop your role as a reliable and persuasive business partner for the management team, by actively exercising your business control skills and start discovering your leadership capabilities. Last but not least, you will be guided through the Finance Due Diligence processes and closely collaborate with the M&A team if opportunities pop up for new acquisitions in the area or Poland.

What we expect from you

  • You are responsible for the completeness and correctness of the financial administration base (accrual base accounting);

  • You will proactively create an optimal layout of administration around accounting processes and business processes, making proposals for improvement to sustain recurring finance and business controlling reporting;

  • You manage the local Finance team regarding group and statutory reporting, revenue recognition, cost accrual base accounting, and cash management;

  • You ensure that the monthly/quarterly/annual group reporting is met on time and compliant with the IFRS frame;

  • You ensure the local Finance Department assists in compliance with the required TSS key internal control framework;

  • Every month you translate business expectations into the Rolling Forecast figures (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow) and ask critical questions to business unit management;

  • You assist the business unit director and management team in developing pricing strategies, managing cost control and looking into efficiency initiatives, monitoring customer attrition, and planning cash flow improvement actions;

  • You guide the business on how to prepare a P&L business case for new customer contracts/purchasing contracts by reviewing together the contract terms (e.g. performance obligations, liabilities, etc.), looking into contract margin and right performance indicators;

  • You design, develop, and create the necessary management information models to provide the business unit's quantitative and qualitative performance data; Then, analyze the data and generate insights and recommendations; prepare together with Business Monthly Business Review/Quarterly Business Review; You will look for trends and benchmark the analysis against other companies in the Group;

  • You will work closely with Manager Finance & Control on M&A projects to complete Financial Due Diligence and assist with financial and business integration of new acquisitions;

  • You aim for incremental improvements and share new insights and best practices with business stakeholders and the Business Controller’s community;

  • You liaise with key functions and act as a partner for various stakeholders within the organization.


Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in business economics, Accounting & Control, or Finance, ideally with IFRS background;

  • 3 - 5 years relevant working experience;

  • Experience in a Big4 audit company would be a plus;

  • Experience gained within the IT industry would be a plus;

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); Polish language would be a plus;

  • Excellent MS Office Excel capabilities;

  • PowerBI modeling skills would be a plus;

  • Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills;

  • Ability to adapt to change quickly, multi-task, set priorities and plans appropriately;

  • Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude;
